Project description
The Zeughaus substation, a key infrastructure facility of the ewz grid in Zurich, was comprehensively modernised. The focus of the measures was the renewal of the entire control and building automation technology. In parallel, a standardised concept for future control systems in substations was developed and introduced for the first time.
Building automation concept
As part of the project, GEA Ingenieure AG took on the complete planning of the new building automation as well as the development of a forward-looking system standard for substations. A new standard architecture for future control systems was defined together with the building owner.
