2. Processing when you visit the website

When you access this website, the hosting provider processes technically necessary access data in server log files: IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, the volume of data transferred, and browser and operating system details. This processing serves the secure and stable operation of the website and is based on our legitimate interest. We do not link this data to your person.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA, with data centres in Europe among other locations). Cloudflare processes the access data mentioned above on our behalf and ensures the delivery and security of the website. Data may be transferred to the USA in this context (see section 10).

4. Fonts

The fonts used on this website are stored locally on our server and delivered directly from this website. No connection to Google or other third-party providers is established when the fonts are loaded.

5. Location map (Google Maps)

The home page embeds a map from Google Maps (Google LLC, USA). The map loads automatically as soon as you reach the locations section of the page. In particular, your IP address is transmitted to Google; Google may set cookies. The purpose is to display our locations. If you do not wish this transmission to take place, please avoid the locations section or use appropriate browser settings (for example, blocking third-party content).

6. Application form

For job applications, the application page uses a form provided by Jotform (Jotform Inc., USA). The data you enter (for example, name, contact details, application documents) is transmitted to us via Jotform and used to process your application. Jotform’s privacy provisions apply in addition. We use this data exclusively for the application process. Application data is retained for a maximum of 24 months and then deleted, unless statutory retention obligations apply or a longer retention period has been agreed with the person concerned.

7. Contacting us

If you contact us by email or telephone, we process your details in order to respond to your enquiry. We retain this data for as long as is necessary to handle the enquiry and then delete it, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

8. Cookies and analytics

The website does not set its own tracking cookies and does not use any advertising services. For audience measurement we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service provided by Cloudflare (see section 3). It works without cookies and without cross-site tracking; no individual visitor profiles are created and no identifiers are stored on your device. Only aggregated information is collected, such as the pages visited, referrer, country, and browser and device type.

Cookies may be set by embedded third-party services (Google Maps, Jotform, Chatbase) when the respective content is loaded or when you actively use these services.

9. Chatbot

Our pages embed a chatbot provided by Chatbase (Chatbase, Inc., USA), which you can use to ask us questions. The chatbot is initialised when the page loads; at that point and when you enter messages, connection and usage data (for example, IP address, technical details and the chat messages you enter) may be transmitted to Chatbase and processed there. Chatbase may use cookies or similar technologies for this purpose. The purpose is to answer your enquiries. Please do not enter any sensitive personal data in the chat.

10. Data transfers abroad

Some of the services mentioned (Cloudflare, Google, Jotform, Chatbase) may process data in the USA or other countries. Such transfers take place on the basis of appropriate safeguards (for example, standard contractual clauses) or, where required, your consent.

11. Your rights

Within the scope of applicable law, you have the right to information about the data processed about you, as well as the right to rectification, deletion or restriction of processing. You may also object to processing and, where applicable, request the release of your data. To do so, please contact the address given in section 1. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

12. Data security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. This website is transmitted in encrypted form via HTTPS.

13. Changes

We may amend this privacy policy at any time. The version published on this website applies.
