ICT Coordination

We coordinate ICT in construction and modernisation projects: from the network infrastructure to the interfaces between building technology and IT.

Buildings are becoming more connected: building automation, management systems and the IT of users and operators increasingly share the same infrastructure. We clarify the requirements with the building owner, users and operations, coordinate the ICT infrastructure with the construction and electrical trades and define the interfaces cleanly, so that in the end everything works together.

What is included

  • ICT coordination in construction and modernisation projects
  • Requirements clarification with the building owner, users and operations
  • Coordination of the network infrastructure with the electrical and construction trades
  • Interfaces building automation ↔ ICT (building technology IP networks)
  • Addressing and network concepts for building technology
  • Alignment with IT managers and providers

ICT in a construction project involves many parties: we ensure clear responsibilities and a shared, up-to-date status.

Frequently asked questions

Why does a construction project need ICT coordination?

Networks, building automation and operator IT are created in the same building, but by different parties. Without coordination, cabling, technical rooms and interfaces are planned twice or not at all. ICT coordination clarifies requirements and responsibilities early and supports the implementation through to handover.

How are building automation and ICT connected?

Modern building automation communicates over IP networks: automation stations, the management system and energy monitoring need clean network planning, clear addressing concepts and defined responsibilities between building technology and IT. This is exactly the interface we coordinate.

In which project phases does ICT coordination make sense?

It is most effective from the design stage (SIA phases 31 to 33), when technical rooms, riser zones and budgets are defined. We then support tendering, realisation and commissioning through to handover to operations.
