What does an inspection engineer for building automation review?
We review design and execution documents in cross-comparison: the system description, data point list, electrical drawings and HVAC schematics must be consistent with each other. We check for completeness, consistency and compliance with the building owner's guidelines and standards.
Who decides on the approval of a project phase?
GEA performs the technical review and documents all findings traceably in the review report. The formal approval decision rests with the building owner or the building committee, based on this report.
How are open items from review reports followed up?
All findings are tracked in a checklist and remain open until they are correctly resolved. Depending on the project, we also discuss the status in the regular status meetings.
